Analytics
Orders, customers, products, sales, stock — every dataset on WhatsMenu exports to CSV or Excel in one click. Your accountant gets columns ready for Xero or QuickBooks. You get bulk-edit power for product catalogs without a developer.
Pick a dataset, pick a date range, click Export. WhatsMenu generates a clean CSV (or .xlsx) with sensible column headers, properly escaped values, and UTF-8 encoding so Chinese / Malay / Arabic text renders correctly. Use it for monthly accounting, customer-list backups, bulk product edits (export → edit in Excel → re-import), tax filings, or hand-off to data analysts.
Every merchant. New merchants use it monthly for accounting reconciliation. Mature merchants use it weekly for sales analysis and stock-take prep. Multi-staff operations use it to hand off data to bookkeepers without sharing dashboard logins. If you ever need your data outside WhatsMenu — for accounting, analytics, marketing, or just peace of mind — this is how.
Use it monthly for accounting. Quarterly for tax filings. Whenever you do a stock-take. Before any major catalog change (export current state as a backup). For any "send me the data" request from a partner, accountant, or auditor.
Orders (with line items, customer info, payment method, fulfilment status), customers (contact details, order history, loyalty balance), products (catalog with prices, stock, modifiers), sales reports (daily / weekly / monthly aggregates), and stock movements.
Yes — column headers and structure are designed to import directly into Xero, QuickBooks, Wave, and most local accounting packages (Bukku, MyInvois, etc.). For software that needs a specific format, you can also re-arrange columns in Excel before importing.
Yes. Export your products, edit prices / stock / descriptions in Excel, save as CSV, re-import. The re-import matches existing products by SKU or product ID and updates only the changed fields. Useful for bulk price changes, stocktake reconciliation, or seasonal updates.
All your historical data, from your first order onwards. Exports run on the live database — no archival cutoff. Large date ranges may take a few seconds to generate; the file downloads when ready.
It includes whatever is in your dashboard — names, phone numbers, email addresses, order amounts. Treat the file like any customer database: store it securely, share it only with people who need it (your accountant, your bookkeeper). For GDPR-style requests, you can also export a single customer's full data on demand.
