Customer experience

Send a cart by link instead of typing items into chat.

A customer messages you on WhatsApp wanting "the usual plus two extras". Build the cart on your end, send them the link, they tap to review and pay. The whole exchange takes a minute instead of ten.

What it does

On the dashboard or the POS, build a cart on behalf of a customer. WhatsMenu generates a unique link with the cart pre-filled. Send it via WhatsApp, SMS, or any other channel. The customer opens it, reviews the order, picks delivery/pickup, and pays — without you having to translate a chat conversation into your order system.

Who it's for

Any merchant who takes a lot of WhatsApp-driven orders. Florists customising bouquets per customer. Bakeries quoting cakes after a chat. Service businesses scoping a job before booking. The chat conversation stays warm and human; the cart link handles the transactional plumbing.

How it works

  1. In the dashboard or POS, "Create cart for customer". Add the items, modifiers, quantities.
  2. WhatsMenu generates a shareable link. Send it via WhatsApp.
  3. The customer opens, reviews, picks delivery option, pays. The order lands in your dashboard like any other.

When to use it

Use Share Cart whenever a customer's order needs back-and-forth before they buy — custom orders, larger orders with negotiated pricing, or repeat customers who say "the usual". For self-serve buyers, the public storefront link is faster.

Frequently asked questions

Does the customer need a WhatsMenu account?

No — the cart link works for guests. Account creation is optional at checkout.

Can I price a cart with a custom discount?

Yes — apply a coupon you generated for them, or use staff-only line-item discounts before sending.

How long does the link stay valid?

By default 7 days. You can extend or shorten this. Expired links show a polite "this cart has expired" message.

Can the customer modify the cart you sent?

They can add or remove items, change quantities, change modifiers — the cart is a starting point, not a locked order. If you want it locked, send an invoice instead.

Will I see when they open the link?

Yes — the dashboard shows when a shared cart is opened, modified, and paid. Useful for follow-up timing.
