Retention

A loyalty programme without the loyalty card.

Customers earn points on every order. They redeem them at checkout for a discount. The whole programme runs on your storefront — no plastic cards, no separate app to download.

What it does

Set a points-per-currency rate (e.g. 1 point per $1 spent), choose what each point is worth at redemption (e.g. 100 points = $5 off), and turn it on. Repeat customers see their points balance every time they log into your storefront. New customers see how many points they'd earn before they buy.

Who it's for

Any business with repeat customers. A neighbourhood café where regulars come twice a week. A clinic running monthly health screenings. A pet store where the same dog owner buys food every fortnight. If you have customer phone numbers in your dashboard, you have a loyalty programme.

How it works

  1. Enable loyalty in Settings → Apps and pick your earn rate and redemption value.
  2. Customers automatically accrue points on paid, completed orders.
  3. At checkout they tick "use points" and see the discount applied to their bill.

When to use it

Loyalty is most effective when your average customer comes back at least once a month. If you mostly serve one-off buyers (e.g. tourist trade), referral or coupon programmes work better — and you can run them alongside loyalty.

Frequently asked questions

Do points expire?

You decide. Set an expiry window (e.g. 12 months from earning) or leave them as never-expire — whichever fits your business model.

Can customers earn points on items that are already discounted?

Yes by default, but you can configure points to award on the original price only, or skip points on coupon-using orders.

How do customers see their balance?

When logged in, their points balance appears in the storefront header and on the checkout page. They also get a balance update in WhatsApp if WhatsApp notifications are enabled.

Can I run loyalty alongside coupons?

Yes — they're separate systems. You can also configure them to interact (e.g. coupon orders earn no points), depending on how generous you want to be.

Can I award bonus points manually?

Yes — for goodwill gestures, you can manually credit points to a customer from their record in the dashboard.
